The Bon Festival 1173

As with most celebrations of this nature after The Great Warrior Pilgrimage 1173, The Bon Festival, held in honor of the Fortune of the Dead Emma-O, was quite extravagant. Kakita Tiru spared no expense, inviting famous figures from every clan. It was rare indeed that this event was so attended and so extravagant, but the cause for it became clear when Emma-O himself arrived with a retinu of over 600 spirits.

While some, like Togashi Sakura were brave enough to speak to the Fortune, he kept to himself for the most part, saying nothing unless spoken to. At the end of the week-long event, the slain bushi Matsu Kara was returned to the realm of the living by Emma-O. This was in exchange for the great efforts that Tiru had gone to spreading worship of Emma-O across Rokugan.
